The Blacko Tribe is the official global fanbase of Black Sherif — Mohammed Ismail Sherif, born 9 January 2002 in Konongo-Zongo, Ashanti Region of Ghana. From the dust of the Golden City to the world stage, the kid who wrote sermons in his bedroom now headlines continents.
Two albums in. The Villain I Never Was (2022) introduced him as the voice of a generation; Iron Boy (3 April 2025) — 15 tracks of hip-hop, Afrobeat and Highlife with features from Fireboy DML and Seyi Vibez — confirmed it. The album hit #10 on the Billboard World Albums chart and #3 on the TurnTable Nigerian Albums chart.
In May 2026 he made history at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, walking away with five major wins: Artiste of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Album of the Year for Iron Boy, Best Hip-Hop Song for Where Dem Boyz, and Best Afropop Song for Sacrifice. The 2026 chapter opened with the single Pop Star, dropped under RBA / Empire.
The Tribe exists to organize, amplify, and protect the energy fans bring to the music. From Accra to Lagos, London, Toronto, New York — wherever the sermon plays, we are already there.

2019
First-ever paid performance — GH¢50, age 17.
2021
First Sermon and Second Sermon explode out of Ghana onto the global radar.
2022
Second Sermon Remix with Burna Boy. Signs with Empire (via RBA management). Debut album The Villain I Never Was drops on 6 October.
2023
Wins Artiste of the Year at the TGMAs for the first time.
2024
Single January 9th released on his birthday — sets up the Iron Boy era.
2025
Iron Boy album (3 April) — 15 tracks, features from Fireboy DML & Seyi Vibez. Hits #10 Billboard World Albums.
2026
Five TGMA wins including a second Artiste of the Year. Drops Pop Star to open the year.
